1How much does an alarm system cost? How can I check prices on this website?
The cost of an alarm system depends on the system, the number of sensors, and the vulnerable points in your home, so we cannot specify exact prices online. We offer systems starting at $5000 MXN + VAT. To obtain a customized quote, we recommend scheduling a home consultation. (A fee applies depending on location, which is fully refundable when ordering any of our products or services).
2What happens if there is a power or internet outage? Will my security system continue to work?
Yes, your security system will continue to work if there is a power outage. All SmartAlarm systems have a battery backup system that will power the alarm in the event of a power outage. Additionally, thanks to the SIM card, you will receive alerts via SMS in the event of an internet service outage.
3When is the earliest you can install an alarm for me?
Our delivery times are usually less than a week to install an alarm, however, we can usually assist you if it is an emergency. Please contact us for more information about delivery times and the most suitable systems for your home or business.
4How long does it take to install the alarm system?
It depends on the size of the system being installed, but most residential systems can be installed in a single day. Our team can provide an estimated timeframe once the requirements have been agreed upon.
5What if I have pets or animals that need to move freely around the house while the alarm system is activated?
We can provide pet-friendly sensors designed so that your dogs, cats, and other pets can move freely around the house without setting off the alarms. There are several options available: one of the most common includes a detector that ignores certain sizes, or that ignores anything below a certain height.
6Can I have an alarm without internet?
Yes, you can have an alarm without internet. Our smart alarm systems have a SIM card slot so you can receive alerts and control your alarm via SMS messages. (SIM card is not included)
7I have a large house with many family members, young and old, who come and go from the property at different times of the day. How can I solve this?
To facilitate entry and access for multiple people within your home or business, you can use electronic key fobs. One of our qualified technicians can suggest a solution that suits your needs after conducting a site survey.
8Apart from the cost of the alarm, will I have to pay any extra fees or monthly charges?
No, there are no monthly or annual fees or charges apart from the initial cost. Our systems are designed to be managed by you, giving you complete control over the security of your home or business from your smartphone.
9Can I test my new alarm without disturbing the neighbors?
The best way to test your system is to have one of our professionals do it. They will perform many more tests than the average homeowner, ensuring that the system remains stable and operates at peak performance. 10Can I control the alarm from my phone?
Yes, you can control your smart security alarm from your phone; it is specifically designed for that scenario. Talk to one of our experts about the options available in the app to manage your security alarm remotely.
11How long is the warranty period?
SmartAlarm alarm systems come with a 1-year warranty from the date of installation.
